About the job

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Continually assess IM needs, data collection, data validation, data analysis, information dissemination
  • Create and Maintain databases and required forms
  • collect, analyze, and process all programme data related to mine action activities
  • Quality Assurance (QA) of operational teams’ data
  • Periodic IM training to stakeholders
  • Coordinate installation of the information management system (IMS), developing the database and making sure that the overall system is operational and meets the operational needs of the programme.
  • Support the regular transfer/channeling of collected data and information to other relevant stakeholders (e.g., national authorities, cluster partners) using agreed upon templates and respecting time frames.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) on data relating to activities including – EORE, Non-Technical and Technical Survey tasks, EOD operations, battle areas and minefields clearance, and victim surveys.
  • Provide guidance to information management users, and other relevant mine action partners
  • Support the documentation of activities, contact and project information on all the actors present in the AO.
  • Attend and facilitate meetings with relevant stakeholders relating to information management.
  • Support the Operations Manager, Project Managers, Technical Field Managers, and other stakeholders in strengthening information management and information sharing that supports all service provision with a customer focus - including distributions, community mobilization, assessments, technical works, etc.
  • Prepare operational statistics on request by the operations department, and on a monthly basis.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have skills in working with relational SQL database queries. Advanced time management, and communications skills. Ability to provide requested statistical data within the allowed timeframe. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in information management, database management, mapping and web development
  • Proven skills in working with ArcGIS, and ESRI software packages.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic
  • Good knowledge of English (writing and speaking)
  • Must be able to write reports in English.

Desirable

  • Programming skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Inforation Managament or Information Technology [IT]
  • Working with SharePoint site managment
  • Basic knowldege about Microsoft PowerAutomate
