This is a temporary position for 11.5 months to act as a team assistant from August 2022 to June 2023.

The individual contractor is needed to carry out the following work:

1. Data processing and materials delivering to existing supporters so that UNICEF could strengthen campaign results to better support programme as well as keep good relationship with supporters. The data processing (particular in one-off donation) includes checking the automation data, solving the problem during data automation process, generating the report as financial department requested and generating related receipt for donors.

2. Providing assistance to carry out pledge donation data automation programme, including: requirement confirmation, document organizing, resource organizing, outcome testing and online operation monitoring.

3. Other retention works required such as responding to urgent case (complaints) from donors and coaching related colleagues for the better execution of day-to-day one-off donation operational business.

4. Providing assistance to call center works which is supporting retention activities, including all coordination works for new call center operation setup, like system account application and telephone number authentication. Also provide maintenance works for existing call center vendor like general donor issues tracking and management.

How can you make a difference?

Assisting with checking and recording one-off donation data promptly and accurately into database. Improving the ability on data processing, vendor management and donor care of retention team. Providing assistance for the team to build a higher standard of donor relationships. And temporally being a crucial coordinator and supporter of call center works to provide flexibilities of team support. Details please find from following detailed major task/deliverables:

1. Processing entries:

Operate and check the one-off donation automation data in a timely manner as well as carry out all activities related to the routine operation.

1.1 Support in retention data processing works.

1.2 Consolidate financial data and submit related reports.

1.3 Raise any data-related issues to supervisor.

1.4 Escalate one-off automation data issues and coordinate to solve them.

2. Donor care and retention materials assisting works:

Delivery donor care materials timely.

2.1 conduct email campaigns as per plan.

2.2 Prepare related email sending reports.

2.3 Communicate with other team members to ensure related physic material is well prepared for the retention campaigns.

3. Other retention work assigned

3.1 Providing coaching for related colleague to better execution of business. Providing assist for team admin and coordination with other teams and department.

4. Assistance on call center works

4.1 coordination works for new call center operation setup, including but not limited to system accounts application and telephone number authentication.

4.2 provide maintenance works for existing call center vendor, like general donor issues tracking and management.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A bachelor’s degree from a college or university, or other comparable education.
  • Native Mandarin Chinese skills, reading and writing.
  • Experience of data processing works on customer or donor loyalty operation.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office applications and Email sending platforms.
  • Experience in customer call center working experience.
  • Attention to detail and an analytical mind.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently.
  • Exceptional customer-based attitude.
  • Exceptional communication ability.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
