Overview

Capture impactful images of UN events and field visits

You have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • University degree in relevant discipline is desirable.
  • A diploma in photography is desirable.
  • Five years practical professional work experience taking images at events, meetings, and profiling individuals and issues.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi is required.
  • Knowledge of the UN mandate and its work in India.
  • Ability to work on strict timelines.
  • Ability to understand the requirements from the assignment and deliver in time.

Result of Service o Photo documentation of 4 high profile visits of 2 days each o Photo documentation of 6 events o Photo documentation of 5 field visits

Work Location New Delhi

Expected duration 6 Months

Duties and Responsibilities Under the direction of the UNIC/UNRCO Communications team

  • Take photos of events organized by the UN in partnership with the government and its agencies, civil society and private sector
  • Take photos of meetings, visits of senior management of the United Nations from India and global offices
  • The photos will also profile the leadership and their interaction with different stakeholders.
  • The photographer will be expected to profile issues that are priority for the UN
  • The photographer will also be expected to profile the work of the UN in India through the field visits taken by the senior management.
  • The photos should bring out the stories from the ground of the impact of UN’s work in India.

Expected Outcomes :

o Photo documentation of 4 high profile visits of 2 days each o Photo documentation of 6 events o Photo documentation of 5 field visits

Qualifications/special skills - A minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent - University degree in relevant discipline is desirable - A diploma in photography is desirable Five years practical professional work experience taking images at events, meetings and profiling individuals and issues.

Languages Fluency in English and Hindi is required for this position.
