Overview

Provide driving services to UNIC staff and ensure vehicle maintenance.

You have:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in driving in Tehran and the rest of Iran.
  • Fluency in Persian (Farsi) and good command of English is required.
  • Iranian Driver’s license.
  • Familiarity with the UN mandate and its work in Iran.
  • Punctual, trustworthy, and service-minded individual.

Result of Service The incumbent will work under the UNIC Director’s overall guidance. First reporting officer will be the UNIC administration assistant.

Work Location Tehran

Expected duration 3 months

Duties and Responsibilities 1. Weekly, to plan and coordinate transport to meetings and external events for the UNIC director and UNIC staff.

2. Coordinate deliveries and pick-ups efficiently with UNIC administration.

3. At any time, ensure that the UNIC vehicle is clean, well-kept and serviced (oil, gas).

4. If any major issues or concerns, bring to the attention of UNIC to ensure timely maintenance and repairs of the UNIC vehicle.

5. Support major events, such as preparation of UN Day, retreats and big meetings.

6. Support other tasks, as requested.

7. It is important to be flexible, as number of work hours can fluctuate from week to week. The driver must expect to work 3-5 evenings per months as well as occasional weekends.

8. Keep a strict time sheet, and together with UNIC administration assistant ensure that work hours over a month, equals 50%.

Qualifications/special skills Iranian Driver’s license. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in driving in Tehran and the rest of Iran.

Languages Fluency in Persian (Farsi) and good command of English is required.
