Individual Contractor for Shared Drive Construction
Result of Service During the period of contract, the individual contractor is expected to deliver the following work: 1) Structure of the RCO and UNCT shared drives including access protocols. 2) File naming system and guidance notes for filing documents. 3) Complete set of guidance notes for all users, and training for RCO and UNCT on the system. 4) Technical support once the system is operational, to ensure there are no “bugs” or issues.

Duties and Responsibilities The Individual Contractor will provide support to the RCO in terms of overhauling its existing shared drive, making it a standardized system with protocols and user-friendly taxonomy, with access controls based on content and users. The Individual Contractor will work with the Head of the RCO and the Data Monitoring and Reporting Officer in identifying content, users and access needs.
Qualifications/special skills Candidates must meet at least one of the following educational requirements: - Graduate from a master’s degree or - IT technical training certificate, with emphasis on data management in MS programmes. - Communications, international relations, development or equivalent. - IT skills – data management, programming, shared drive development and maintenance, etc. - Strong knowledge and experience with MS Teams and its shared drive functions are required - Proven experience in developing similar systems, preferably within a UN or other international entity is required. - General understanding/experience working in a development context. - Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability; - Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.
Languages Fluent in spoken and written English
