Overview

Support the organization of UN events in Manila.

You have:

  • A first-level university degree is required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in events organization and management.
  • Proficiency in conceptualizing and developing communication campaigns.
  • Proficiency in basic graphic design (Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator).
  • Proficiency in social media management and tools.
  • Proficiency in basic photo and video production.
  • Proficiency in technical writing.
  • Excellent command of the English Language is required for this position.

Result of Service Successful implementation of in-person events to launch the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and the ERC Flagship Initiative, and to mark United Nations (UN) Day, 18 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women (VAW), and Human Rights Day.

Work Location Manila

Expected duration 4 Months

Duties and Responsibilities Under the overall supervision of the UNIC Manila National Information Officer the candidate’s duties are as follows: - Assists in the conceptualization/design of in-person events, and their components; - Assists in the procurement of and coordination with necessary service providers and suppliers; - Assists in the preparation, delivery and monitoring of event invitations; - Assists in overseeing the implementation of event components; - Coordinates with suppliers/vendors to fulfill event requirements, including but not limited to additional light and sound equipment; - Supports filming and video production tasks; - Creates key visuals; - Helps develop and implement social media campaigns; - Assists in monitoring and reporting on engagement in social media campaigns; - Coordinates with performing groups, ensuring delivery of performances according to agreed specifications; - Assist in the execution of events, including stage and program direction, as well as ingress and egress; - Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills - A first-level university degree is required; - Minimum two (2) years of experience in events organization and management; - Proficiency in conceptualizing and developing communication campaigns; - Proficiency in basic graphic design (Canva and/or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator); - Proficiency in social media management and tools; - Proficiency in basic photo and video production; - Proficiency in technical writing.

Languages Excellent command of the English Language is required for this position.
