- Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Good knowledge of English and Bangla, both written and verbal.
- Working experience with Office365/Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.

Short Description:
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation dedicated to protecting the rights of displaced and affected people during crises. NRC delivers high-quality programmes to support people forced to flee, helping them rebuild their lives and establish a new future. It operates across both new and protracted crises in 40 countries.
NRC specialises in five core competencies: counselling and legal assistance (ICLA), protection from violence, education, shelter and settlements, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). These specialised areas enable NRC to respond effectively to the diverse needs of displaced populations.
NRC began operations in Bangladesh in 2018 and continues to support Rohingya refugees and vulnerable Bangladeshi communities affected by climate change and displacement.
NRC Bangladesh currently implements programs across camps and unions in Ukhiya and Teknaf, with interventions in education, Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), shelter, WASH, and protection. In the Rohingya camps, the NRC manages learning centres, ICLA, and WASH hubs.

What we offer:

- Travel: 50% in Cox’s Bazar District.
- Grade 04 in NRC’s Salary Scale; monthly Gross Salary is 60,249 BDT, with accompanying terms and conditions. NRC offers an excellent compensation and benefits package. Responsibilities
Roles and responsibilities:
The ICT Technical Assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of ICT infrastructure and the provision of reliable technical support to staff. The role includes monitoring and maintaining network systems, troubleshooting connectivity and hardware issues, and delivering hands-on support for computers, printers, communication devices, and other ICT equipment.
The ICT Technical Assistant also assists with system maintenance, user account support, and the implementation of ICT standards and procedures. In addition, the position is responsible for identifying equipment and technology requirements, preparing and raising procurement requests for new ICT equipment and services, and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely acquisition and replacement of ICT assets. Through proactive monitoring and responsive support, the role contributes to maintaining efficient and secure ICT operations across the office.
The purpose of the position is to manage and assist in day-to-day implementation of the ICT support functions/ responsibilities and ensure the stable and smooth daily functioning of ICT equipment/systems under the supervision of the ICT Coordinator.
Key Specific responsibilities:
- Ensure all NRC users adhere to global NRC ICT policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for and maintain accurate ICT registries: registry of ICT assets, license registry, etc.
- Keep all the information up to date (license keys, license expiration, etc.).
- Follow and inform the line manager in advance about the expiration of licenses and the need to purchase new ICT assets, and ensure a timely procurement request for the new licenses/assets.
- Keep the Asset list and all other registries updated and provide tags for the newly purchased assets.
- Ensure records of all incoming and outgoing ICT Assets in the relevant registries.
- Ensure installation and maintenance of protection software and services (anti-virus software, firewalls, etc.).
- Ensure the smooth and stable operation of ICT equipment (laptops, desktops, printers, network equipment, etc.) and resolve hardware and software problems as quickly as possible.
- Ensure the stable and smooth functioning of networks, both LAN (wired and Wi-Fi) and Internet connections, in the office and other premises rented by NRC.
- Conduct regular visits and check-ups of IT equipment across various NRC offices.
- Regular follow-up for NRC’s standard antivirus data updates and license renewal.
- Encourage users to raise tickets for any ICT issues.
- Immediately report losses, damages, or discrepancies to the Line Manager.
- Immediately report all potential fraud cases to the Line Manager.
