1.Role and responsibilities

The ICT Team Leader leads a designated team of Information Communication Technology (ICT) support staff to deliver high quality ICT services to Jordan North Area offices. The role leads the deployment of ICT projects and resolves complex issues to establish a standardised ICT operational and support environment and manages ongoing service delivery. The Team Leader contributes to a high-performance team environment and enables continual service improvement practices.

Specific Responsibilities

1.Supervise day to day tasks, provide support and guidance, build objectives, and reflect them on the WDP in alignment with ICT unit and NRC JO Country Office Strategic Objectives, provide regular feedback through regular meetings and on-the-job training.

2.Act as 2nd level support for ICT incidents and service requests, and act as a backup for ICT Officer –Host as a 1st level support.

3.Work with Business Partners (Program, Support Units, Regional & Global ICT, and internal & external developers) to develop innovative solutions to programme implementation in Jordan Country Office in line with global NRC SOPs and best practice. And Assign tasks to ICT Team to implement those projects.

4.Take lead on NRC JO Country Offices, ICT infrastructure projects and Net work enhancement: plan for implementation, work with ICT Officers Host, Camps, and Amman on Network Mapping, Infrastructure enhancement.

5.Assist ICT Coordinator in developing business cases and ICT proposals for all NRC JO Country Offices initiatives and projects. Including but not limited to process design and enhancement, technical & financial reports, DPIA.

6.Assist ICT Coordinator in conducting regular and on-demand Risk Assessments: Penetration tests, Vulnerability tests, Data Protection, and Information Security.

7.Assist ICT Coordinator in building \deploying ICT Policies and Guidelines.

8.Follow up with ICT Officer on keeping NRC Equipment up-to-date and using only licensed SW.

9.Assist ICT Technical Officer –Amman in Building ICT Knowledge Base. Including maintaining ICT Inductions materials up to date(New Joiner Package, service catalogue).

10.Follow up on ICT Tickets on Ticketing System, for Host Area.

11.Assist in ICT Disposal Plan of equipment, and retirement of ICT Solutions.

12.Work with ISP and other outside vendors to ensure dependable operations. (Applicable to Service Providers located in Host Area or Contracted through Host Area Logistics)

13.Prepare on-demand technical and operations reports, Project Documentations, and status reports.

14.Prepare ICT Services \Equipment needs list, and perform needed procurement tasks (raise PRs, perform technical quality checks)

15.Provide procurement assistance including, but not limited to, researching solutions, engaging with potential vendors, making recommendations for product purchases, and evaluating bids.

16.Assist ICT Coordinator in non-ICT Staff Capacity building plan: prepare materials, conduct training, and provide assistance if needed.

4.Ensure adherence and compliance with NRC policies, support function tools, handbooks and guidelines.

5.Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.

6.Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.

7.Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents.

8.Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer of key skills.

9.Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards &principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.

Qualification requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Years of Experience: 3

Knowledge of the context in Jordan Host Offices, and understanding of NRC Strategic objectives, SOPs, Guidelines, and Policies.

• Experience in ICT Technical Support, or any relevant field related to IT. Has a very good technical background in Windows and MS office, experience in troubleshooting and configuring network, and has a very good level of English both written and verbal.

• Interpersonal Skills: ICT Technical Officer must have \ develop: task management, time management, project and people management skills, English business and report writing, Critical Thinking, and perform their tasks in an adequate and professional manner, showing good people skills to handle direct interaction with them.
