Result of Service

The contractor is expected to deliver a comprehensive set of strategic and operational outcomes aimed at enhancing the digital presence and communication effectiveness of UN 2.0 and the Summit of the Future. By the end of the six-month assignment, the ultimate result of the service is defined by the successful completion of the expected outputs as follows:

  1. Digital communications strategy that outlines the objectives, target audience, content plan, and key performance indicators for UN 2.0 and the Summit of the Future.

  2. Content calendar that maps out the schedule for content production, publication and distribution, aligning with UN 2.0 / Summit roadmap milestones and events.

  3. High-quality digital content that effectively communicates UN 2.0 / Summit updates, initiatives and impact.

  4. UN 2.0 and other website updates to ensure it serves as an up-to-date resource for stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Digital Communication Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive digital communication strategy to promote Our Common Agenda, UN 2.0, and the Summit of the Future.

  2. Content Creation: Produce engaging and informative digital content, such as articles, reports, videos, and infographics, to convey initiatives effectively.

  3. Digital Campaign Management: Plan and execute digital campaigns to promote policy proposals, drive engagement, and reach a wide and diverse audience, including Member States, UN entities, and the public.

  4. Social Media Management: Manage and optimize social media channels to ensure consistent messaging and increase reach.

  5. Website Oversight: Maintain and update UN 2.0 and other websites, ensuring that they serve as central hubs for information and resources.

  6. Digital Tools and Platforms: Stay up-to-date with emerging digital communication tools and technologies, leveraging them to enhance the digital presence.

Qualifications/special skills

At least a first-level university degree in communications, digital marketing, or related field. At least 5 years of experience in digital communications and stakeholder engagement within the private sector is required. Proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital analytics is required. Interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively is required. Written and verbal communication skills is required. Innovative thinking and ability to adapt to evolving digital trends is desirable. Experience within the United Nations system is desirable.

Languages

Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.
