Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team and take responsibility for managing employee contracts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the ERP system, and ensuring compliance with Ukrainian labor legislation. The HR Specialist will play a critical role in supporting our HR operations, and will be responsible for handling a range of administrative and compliance-related tasks.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinate contract management for local employees and maintain the system of relevant documentation, including orders, applications, personnel documents.
  • Coordinate salary payment, ensure the timesheets are prepared on time and in line with law requirements.
  • Ensure that all employee information is accurately recorded and updated in Human Recourse Module of ERP Dynamics: hire, extend, change, terminate employees in the system.
  • Add benefits, compensation plans and absence plan, create them when relevant in DRC Dynamics.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Ukrainian labor legislation, as well as internal DRC porcedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to labor legislation in Ukraine and ensure that DRC HR practices remain compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Coordinates the daily activities of small team, often comprised of subordinates carrying out similar tasks.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to 2+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, and well-being.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • University degree in Human Resources management or other related filed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with ATS systems
  • Experience in developing Human Resources strategies and policies, and driving implementation
  • Upper-Intermediate in English and full proficiency Ukrainian

We offer

Contract length: 1 year with possibility of further extension based on available funding (3 months probation period)

Band: G non-management

Designation of Duty Station: Kyiv, Ukraine

Start date: ASAP
