ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

We are seeking to fill the position of Business Support Assistant with the Human Resource Talent Acquisition team based at our Country Office in Maputo, Mozambique. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated team member who is keen to bring their skills and knowledge to the context of WFP and contribute to strengthening the Talent Acquisition and Recruitment functions in WFP. You will receive close guidance from experienced colleagues, while getting opportunities for exposure and growth through supporting in the roll-out of Talent Acquisition activities and developing new tools and assets to strengthen the Human Resource Functions.

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver a full range of HR support services to ensure accurate implementation of WFP policies and procedures and facilitate the effective functioning of a client-focused and strategy-oriented HR services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

1. Provide assistance on a wide range of complex HR queries and follow-up actions, to ensure consistent and high-quality HR services are delivered to clients. 2. Allocate responsibilities and support on-the-job learning and development of junior support staff, to ensure they have adequate knowledge of HR systems and procedures required to perform their duties and subsequently can contribute to the provision of effective HR services. 3. Manage allocated recruitment actions to ensure consistent high quality and timely implementation of approved recruitments. 4. Carry outsourcing and outreach initiatives to attract passive/active candidates with a special focus on gender. 5. Ensure vacancy announcements issued are gender-neutral, attractive, and inspiring to applicants. 6. Support employer-branding events like career fairs, employability training, social media content development among others. 7. Effectively communicate with applicants about the vacancy announcement throughout the selection process. 8. Ensure full administrative support is provided with the ongoing recruitment processes (scheduling tests or interviews, reporting). 9. Extract and compile HR data on staff recruitment and selection, contractual conditions, and entitlements to support analysis and reporting needs. 10. Use HR management systems for entering and updating a variety of HR data including reporting and monitoring various deadlines. 11. Contribute to the development of effective talent acquisition strategies by using new technologies, social media, software, and networks, to identify attract, and hire the best talent in support of WFP Country's strategic goals. 12. Perform other related tasks as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate/ university degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.

Experience: Six (6) years or more of professional experience in the related area. A strong background and passion for talent acquisition best practices and sourcing.

Languages: Fluency in both written and oral communication in Portuguese and English languages.
