Org. Setting and Reporting The incumbent is responsible to the Human Resources Officer (Entitlements) (HRO-ENT) Officer West Bank Field Office.

Responsibilities The main responsibilities include: In accordance with Agency policy and procedure, the incumbent:

•Assists in the management of personnel entitlements in respect of staff members in the Field, ensuring compliance with Area Staff Regulations and Rules, Personnel Directives and other instructions on matters related to entitlements; •Administers the Group Medical Insurance Policy (GMIP) Plan and maintains relevant databases to generate required reports for control purposes; liaises with the medical insurance provider; arranges to organize dispute committee meetings and follows up on its decisions; responds to staff queries related to GMIP. •Assists his/her supervisor in the day to day duties of the Section; accesses the HRMP to execute required actions on HRO-ENT’s behalf and provides feedback to th HRO-ENT regarding actions authorized;

•Handles HRS Division data needs by generating reports, maintaining data bases and act as focal point for the Intranet •Administers Provident Fund Committee by setting up meetings, initiating correspondences and reports and responding to staff members queries; executes the initial check of the provident fund loan before submitting it to the LPF Committee;

•Coordinates with the Training and Performance Management Officer regarding the induction training for new staff and on training for personnel staff including on GMIP issues;

•Assists HRO-ENT in following up on senior staff periodic reports and service incurred accidents;

•Performs such other duties as may be assigned

Competencies Drafting skills in English;

(ii)Ability to operate standard software applications such as MS Word, Excel, Access and other applications;

(iii)Good work organizing skills;

(iv)Demonstrated interpersonal skills;

(v)Sound judgment on importance, priority and confidentiality of issues;

(vi)Ability to follow up on issues actively;

(vii)Sound understanding of protocol norms.

Education A university degree in business administration, accounting, information systems, or a related discipline.

Work Experience At least two years of experience in clerical/administrative work, preferably in a personnel related function.

Languages Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic

Conditions of service Monthly basic salary USD 1,259.40 , payable in JD at UN monthly exchange rate, plus an allowance of 1000 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate. Other benefits include: •Provident Fund contribution (15.2% of basic salary paid by the Agency). •Dependency allowances (if applicable). •30 days of annual leave. •Compulsory medical insurance.

* Equivalency: Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered if there will not be enough qualified candidates.
