About the job

The HR/Administration Assistant is responsible for performing general Human Resources and Administration functions, playing a key role in the overall HR functions including staff recruitment, contracts preparations, staff leaves/attendance, and time-sheet tracking.

responsibilities will be:

Human Resources

• Assist in ensuring staff compliance with human resources policies, as per DRC’s Operations Handbook and local HR Handbook.

• Ensure that leave, recruitment, and training trackers are updated on a regular basis.

• Monitor staff attendance and ensure that all staff timesheets are submitted and filed on time.

• Assist in communicating with interview candidates and scheduling tests and interviews.

• Prepare employee contracts.

• Responsible for ensuring the following are accurate, complete, and up to date: -personnel files, administration of health insurance scheme, social security,

• Assist managers and staff with effective performance management and administer the collation of performance management documentation

• Ensure new staff receive an appropriate orientation and induction.

• Ensure clearance and debriefing are carried out for exiting staff.

• Support staff development activities including promoting the DRC Learning Catalogue.

• Ensure that DRC internal documents are filled in correctly.

• Monitor and update national Staff leave balance.

• Any other HR/Admin-related tasks and responsibilities assigned by the manager.

Administration:

  • Ensure clearance and debriefing are carried out for exiting staff.
  • Assist in coordinating flight bookings, and hotel bookings.
  • Responsible for office supplies and ensuring all the items are available all the time.
  • Identifying any necessary repairs and maintenance in a timely manner in coordination with the Supply Chain staff.
  • Supervise the office cleaners and manage their schedules duties and leaves.
  • Assist in ordering and distributing monthly top-up phone credit for staff members.
  • Responsible for most of the purchase requests of the office and guest house supplies.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar field.
  • University degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • High degree of computer literacy.
  • Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.
  • Fluency in Arabic
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
