Key Responsibilities:

To provide leadership and strategic management for all aspects of the MFI’s human resource and organizational development functions. To advise, facilitate, and support the MFI’s senior management team in attracting, hiring, and developing staff to achieve the goals and outcomes established in the MFI’s strategy. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of all aspects of the employee life-cycle including workforce planning, recruitment and selection, orientation, staff engagement, development, performance management, leaves administration, and separations. The People & Culture (Human Resources) Manager partners with the MFI’s executive/management team to create an organizational culture that encourages and rewards high performance and continuous learning.

Prepare monthly management reports pertaining to HR metrics for MFI and VFI.

•Provide appropriate support to MFI branches on Human Resources issues.

•Update the HR Manual/Handbook as required and ensure that all revision and addition to the policies are placed in the employee handbook. Inform all MFI staff about therevisions.

Contribute and advise to senior management strategic planning, with particular responsibility for HR needs, policies and procedures.

•Prepare and submit annual HR Budget and HR Plan for the approval of the SMT and monitor throughout the financial year.

•Provide recruitment support and ensure adherence to HR policies and employment law.

•Provide orientation and induction to new and transferred employees.

•Develop and implement a retention strategy and regularly review the effectiveness of retention practices.

Review the Total Rewards Scheme (compensation, incentives, and other benefits) on an annual basis and ensure that it is properly administered in accordance with the HR Manual/Handbook, and if necessary, make recommendations to the CEO regarding amendments to the scheme.

•Facilitate periodic salary and benefits surveys in order to develop and maintain a competitive compensation package and incentive schemes for staff.

•Administer Hay job evaluation system to support total rewards philosophy.

•Manage the MFI’s benefit schemes.

• Provide Facilitation and training to managers regarding employee engagement.

•Design and implement appropriate staff care initiatives to ensure well-being of the MFI staff including Staff Retirement Program.

Ensure all staff and managers are actively engaged in performance management activities throughout the financial year, particularly the annual appraisal.

•Provide performance management coaching and support to managers throughout the year.

•Ensure that the P&C/HR Team's annual work objectives and learning and development goals are agreed, supported and evaluated on a timely basis and performance issues managed to ensure effectiveness of the P&C/HR Team.

•Investigate all disciplinary and grievance cases with the respective staff; provide guidance, and corrective action through coaching, training, or instituting disciplinary procedures in conjunction with line managers.

•Ensure that all management decisions to demote or terminate a staff is in accordance with the HR Policy and employment law.

•Develop and implement a retention strategy and regularly review the effectiveness of retention practices.

• Effectively implement the Standardised Exit Process, ensuring audit compliance and issues are reviewed and addressed on a quarterly basis.

Perform skills profiling, auditing and identification of training needs.

•Developsuitable training programs and packages to meet the needs.

•Conduct in-house training programs.

•Liaise with external training institutions and relevant bodies.

•Prepare annual training plans and budgets in conjunction with relevant managers and monitor throughout the financial year.

To undertake any other duties and/or projects as requested by your Manager and/or VFI.
