Contract
This is a G-5 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 5 years of experience, depending on education.

The salary for this job should be more than 1,080 USD.

The salary of a G-5 depends on the duty station. To ensure that effective WHO country presence is established to implement WHO country cooperation strategies that are aligned with Member State's health development agendas and emergency/resilience programmes, and harmonized with the United Nations country teams.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The HR Assistant will provide support in some, or all, of the following duties and responsibilities:
I. Recruitment, selection and roster management of consultants or staff: Drafts and ensures the accuracy of vacancy notices for individual or roster vacancies, including drafting screening questions based on the position requirements. Generates preliminary screening of applicants to facilitate review by the hiring manager and shares relevant information related to candidate screening, testing and selection; Once a selection is completed, verifies the selection process carried out by the hiring manager. Maintains a vetting system for candidates to be retained for roster purposes as well as data collection on roster usage, including cross referencing the candidates with past interns, volunteers and retirees.
II. Consultant or Staff Contracting: Reviews the submissions, ensuring they are in line with the consultants or other policies and ensuring timely processing of the requests preparing a recommendation to the Responsible HR Officer for final clearance. Provides guidance and training to the assigned divisions/departments/programmes on the compliant submission processes for a consultant or other contract type. Launches and manages the candidate onboarding in the system, ensuring all necessary documentation, mandatory training and reference checks are requested and verified.
III. Operationalization of the consultancy policy and supporting its implementation: Assists the HR Officer with the development/updating of guidance material and training for hiring units to build knowledge and understanding of the policy and tools used for implementation. Maintains an updated and efficient tracking system to ensure cases are efficiently managed within the allocated timeframe and in the most effective way; maintains all necessary records, databases and statistics to allow comprehensive filing, tracking and analysis. Acts as the focal point for all administrative questions in relation to the topics covered. Performs any other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Essential: Completion of secondary school supplemented by training in administrative/HR work. Desirable: Additional relevant higher education is an advantage.
Experience
Essential: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HR and/or administrative field. Desirable: Experience working for WHO/UN agency in the field of HR.

REMUNERATION
WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at TND 37,802 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
