Overview

Support HR policies, manage grievances, implement inclusive programming

You have:

  • Experience from working as a HR Advisor or similar level in a humanitarian and recovery context
  • Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari both written and verbal
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field. (Master’s degree is an advantage)
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, capacity-building and handling grievance procedures
  • Previous experience in Safe and Inclusive Programming and Preventing Exploitation and Abuse
  • Specialized training or experience in organizational psychology, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, manuals, procedures, and guidelines
  • Analytical ability in creating effective and strategic HR solutions while adhering to labor laws
  • An understanding of gender issues relating to humanitarian programming
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Afghanistan
  • Knowledge of the local languages Dari, Pashto

Contract

Context

Are you an experienced Human Resource Practitioner, with solid experience in capacity-building, handling grievances, and in Inclusive Programming and Preventing Exploitation and Abuse programs?

We are looking for you!

You will provide technical guidance and support the implementation of PSEA, child safeguarding, staff care and duty of care policies and procedures, as well as recommend and implement preventive measures aimed at reducing Misconduct (Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse), and ensuring the proper handling of grievances.

You will also be responsible for supporting the Country HR team on staff health, safety, and wellbeing.

What you will do:

  • Build awareness, and understanding and ensure adherence to NRC HR policies, code of conduct, handbooks, guidelines, and donor requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports and analysis on HR.
  • Support management in handling duty of care, implementation of NRC related policies, procedures related to working environment, PSEA, and safe and inclusive programming (SIP).
  • Ensure adherence to NRC policies and the national labor law in all processes and procedures.
  • Promote an open knowledge-sharing environment that builds knowledge, skills and service for the benefit of the organization as a whole.
  • Work in line with NRC strategic plan and its objectives
  • Further improve and implement staff grievance redress strategies and practices.

What you will bring:
