Job Description

Job Overview: The HR Administrator provides a broad variety of support services to support Northern California operations including procuring office supplies, troubleshooting IT and facility issues, completing tax and registration forms, and assisting with other HR administrative tasks. The position reports to the HR & Admin Manager and supports all Northern California offices including Sacramento, Turlock, San Jose, and Oakland.

Major Responsibilities:

- Assist with HR administrative tasks including paid time off tracking, completing status change forms and other assigned paperwork - Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and policies - Collaborate with peers to ensure job postings are accurate and up to date - Conduct monthly admin orientation with new staff - Complete applicable office and vehicle registration and tax forms - Assist with ensuring that staff have the resources they need to perform their jobs - Ensure inventory for offices is closely tracked - Support local basic IT questions - Assist with other related activities for programs, as assigned

Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: HR & Admin Manager

Directly supervises: Phone Receptionist and interns

Job Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree required. Preferably with an emphasis in communication, IT, human resources, international development or and relevant field of study. - 2+ years relevant work experience in office administration; human resources, facilities management, procurement or related field - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong keyboarding and internet usage skills; database familiarity a plus - Tech savvy with ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues, preferred - Basic accounting skills, preferred - Strong organizational abilities - Ability to optimally communicate and work as a team member with collaborative partners in a multi-cultural environment - Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Work Environment:

- Standard office environment - Ability to safely lift 25 lbs

Flexibility to travel throughout the Northern California region as needed
