Overview

Work with the Health and Nutrition team to promote healthy diets.

You have:

• A university degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field is required.
• Postgraduate studies in nutrition, public health, or public policies on food and nutrition.
• At least three (3) years of professional experience working with the promotion of healthy diets, food regulation, and/or public nutrition policies is required.
• Previous experience with topics related to the regulatory agenda on ultra-processed foods (labeling, advertising, healthy school environments) will be considered an asset.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Teamwork skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are required, as well as the ability to work independently.
• Experience with UN agencies or similar organizations will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese is required.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

This position is to work with the Health and Nutrition team (Goal Area 1) during approximately 10 months, to support the activities and strategies related to the promotion of healthy diets and the regulatory agenda on ultraprocessed foods, within the main working strategies at UNICEF Brazil: the UNICEF Seal, the Early Childhood Friendly Units initiative (UAPI) and Adolescent Friendly Units initiative (UAA). The work will contribute to the technical capacity of municipalities and health/education professionals and implementing partners on the achievement of nutrition indicators and results.
