Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is the agency for human settlements mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities. The GWOPA Secretariat translates GWOPA’s mandate into strategies and programs.
