- 4 years of working experience as Security Guard with International/Humanitarian NGOs.
- Able to speak well on both local languages (Dari & Pashto) English is a plus point.
- Previous experience of working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Should have geographical experience especially in southern region.
- Ability to handle insecure environments, empowering and building trust.
- Prior acknowledgement of NRC HSS regulations and functions.

The purpose of Security Guard position is to provide service support to the security department in Khost NRC office, guest house, warehouse and vehicles parking buildings, the position holder will be reporting directly to HSS Officer of Khost Office to run his duties smoothly with security standards of NRC.

Responsibilities
Generic responsibilities:
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement.
- Perform according to the work and development plan.
- Looks for the security of the office, guest house, warehouse and vehicles parking building and staff in the office.
- Keeps all the windows and doors locked when the staff members leave the office.
- Development of holistic and needs based programmes, including cash-based interventions and marked based programmes.
Specific responsibilities:
- Looks for the security of the office/guesthouse/warehouse and staff in the office.
- Keeps all the windows and doors locked when the staff members leave the office.3
- Keeps the office responsible informed of any incident in the neighborhood.
- Does not allow unauthorized people park their vehicles in front of the offices.
- Does not allow any body enters to the office without informing office or guest house responsible.
- Does not allow any suspicious packages to the compounds unless authorized by Supervisor/Security Manager/Coordinator/Officer.
- Registers all the visitors coming to the office
- Checks all security lights and reports if there is any loss during his working time.
- Controls the water accessibility in the office (water pump, pipes).
- Switches on and off all lights of the building on time.
- Must clean the compound and guard room regularly and keep all the materials arranged.
- Has to help cleaner in some parts of their work (heater cleaning, washing heavy/big items.
- Has the full responsibility of the garden of the office.
- Must obey and work according to the time and schedule given by her supervisor.
- Must respect the visitors and behavior them gently.
- Performs any other duty given to her by supervisor
- Provide an enabling environment for the implementation of cash-based interventions, including multi-purpose cash assistance, emergency cash responses.
