You have:

• Proficiency in Graphic Design Software: Demonstrated expertise in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), Canva, or similar professional tools.
• Data Visualization Skills: Proven experience in creating clear, accurate, and aesthetically pleasing infographics, charts, and data visualizations that simplify complex information.
• Conceptual Thinking: Ability to translate abstract concepts and detailed textual information into compelling visual stories and designs.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to design, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to guidelines.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively online, understand feedback, and iterate on designs.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing previous work, particularly examples of report design, infographics, or data visualization projects.
• Experience in Development/Policy (desired/an advantage): Previous experience working on projects related to international development, policy analysis, or humanitarian issues is a plus.

The "Country Analysis: Zimbabwe" is a comprehensive, data-driven report prepared to inform the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for 2026-2030. This extensive document provides an in-depth assessment of Zimbabwe's development landscape, highlighting progress, persistent challenges, and strategic opportunities. It is structured around key analytical frameworks such as the Five Ps (People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, Partnership), STEEP analysis, PowerCube, Causal Loop Diagrams, SDG progress tracking, risk analysis, financing landscapes, and stakeholder analysis.

The report contains vital information for strategic prioritization and transformative action in Zimbabwe. To ensure its complex findings, particularly key achievements and strategic pathways, are accessible, engaging, and impactful for a wide audience, enhanced visual communication is essential. The current document is text-heavy and could significantly benefit from professional graphic design to translate its analytical depth into compelling visual and infographic narratives.

The online volunteer will provide graphic design services to transform key findings, achievements, and strategic information from the "Country Analysis: Zimbabwe" document into clear, engaging, and professional visual assets. This assignment aims to make the report's content more digestible and impactful for various stakeholders, ensuring that the country's progress and critical insights are effectively communicated. Specific tasks include: • Review and Understand: Thoroughly review the 38-page "Country Analysis: Zimbabwe" document to identify key messages, data points, achievements, challenges, strategic pathways, and recommendations across all sections (e.g., Executive Summary, SDG Progress, Risk Analysis, Financing Landscape, Analytical Frameworks). • Design Visualizations: Create a series of high-quality infographics, data visualizations, charts, and diagrams that effectively illustrate complex information from the report. This may involve: o Enhancing Existing Visuals: Redesigning or improving the clarity and impact of existing diagrams (e.g., data referring to the country context, Five Ps infographic, STEEP dimensions, PowerCube matrix, Causal Loop Diagrams, Scenario Analysis graphic). o New Data Visualizations: Developing new visual representations for tables and statistical data, such as the SDG Risk Matrix (Table 10.1), Financing Sources (Figure 10.1), and Stakeholder Analysis (Table 12.1). o Highlighting Achievements: Designing specific visual elements (e.g., call-out boxes, icons, short infographics) to draw attention to key achievements, successes, and progress outlined in the report. o Illustrating Strategic Pathways: Visually representing the four acceleration pathways for systemic transformation (Section 9) and their interconnectedness. • Layout and Presentation: Suggest and implement improvements to the overall visual layout and presentation of selected report sections or for standalone communication materials (e.g., summary brochures, presentation slides). • Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs are consistent with professional communication standards and, where applicable, align with United Nations branding guidelines (color palettes, fonts, iconography including UN Zimbabwe and SDGs).

Expected Deliverables: The volunteer is expected to deliver a set of graphic design assets, which may include: • An enhanced Executive Summary infographic capturing key challenges, achievements, and strategic pathways. • Enhanced country context including infographic on demographic and key socio-economic and political data. • Redesigned or new infographics for the analytical frameworks (Five Ps, STEEP, PowerCube, Causal Loop Diagrams). • Visualizations of key data from the SDG progress sections (People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, Partnerships). • A clear and concise visualization of the SDG Risk Matrix. • An infographic detailing the Financing Sources and SDG Transitions. • Visualizations for the Stakeholder Analysis and Scenario Analysis. • Potentially, a template for presentation slides incorporating these visuals, or specific graphics optimized for web/social media use.
