You have:
- Advanced university degree (Master's) in the humanities, literature, humanitarian management, or a relevant field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Proven experience in managing projects in the humanitarian and development sectors.

- Strong understanding of donor rules and regulations, particularly BHA, CDCS, ECHO, and SIDA.
- Excellent proposal and report writing skills.
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid analytical skills (information, data and financial).
- Excellent written and spoken English and French. Fluency in both languages is mandatory.

NRC has been operating in Cameroon since April 2017 and currently has five field offices strategically located across the country. These offices are in Maroua and Kousseri (Far North), Buea (South-West), Bamenda (North-West), and Batouri (East).
NRC implements projects targeting those affected by these crises, focusing on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), shelter, food security & livelihoods (LFS), Education, and Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA).

Responsibilities
Role and responsibilities
- Adhere to NRC policies, directives, and procedures, as well as NRC's global and regional strategies when performing the functions related to this role.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive overview of all grants, donor requirements, rules, and regulations, and internal and external deadlines, including the filing and safeguarding of grant documents
- Coordinate the development of donor proposals and reports, and ensure compliance, quality, and control.
- Contribute to the development and revision of funding proposals and budgets.
- Manage the donor database, ensure monitoring of donor priorities and trends, and track and share relevant calls for proposals.
- Document, analyze and share lessons learned from the proposal development and reporting process, and ensure compliance with donor rules and regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal grant management systems.
Specific responsibilities
The Grants Coordinator:
- Facilitates the organization of grants’ opening meetings, progress meetings, and grants’ closing meetings in collaboration with Area Managers, Field Coordinators, and the Head of Programme. This includes providing support to field staff and partners for project startup.
- Supports the development and drafting of proposals and donor reports.
- With the support of the Grants and Partnership Officer supervises and supports the development of partnerships between NRC and other national and international NGOs in Cameroon.
- Conducts field visits to provide coaching to field teams and partners on grant-related issues, donor compliance and reporting.
- Represents NRC to partners and relevant donors as a designated representative.
- Provides support to the Head of Programme during project meetings as needed.
- Provides an internal help desk on donor-related issues, including organizing and delivering training on donor rules and regulations.
- Participates in PCM (Project Cycle Management) training sessions and ensures the country team's adherence to the NRC PCM framework, as assigned by the Head of Programme.
- Offers assistance to external donor auditors, when needed, in collaboration with the Finance, Risk, and Compliance departments.
- Promotes the rights of Internally Displaced Persons, Returnees, and Refugees in accordance with the advocacy strategy.
