The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a state owned organisation. We work worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ International Services (InS) is an integral division of GIZ. We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.

Your tasks

GIZ International Services is shortlisted for the EU-funded tender: Town Twinning between Turkey and EU - Phase II” for a greener future in Turkey.

The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows:

Enhanced dialogue between Turkish and EU local authorities and to strengthen the capacities of local authorities to carry out climate and environment-based actions.

Your profile

Qualification and skills

At least Bachelor degree. In the absence of the required degree, equivalent professional experience of minimum of 9 years professional experience. At least B2 level of English as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages’. Good command of written and spoken Turkish.

General Professional experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience.

Specific professional experience

  • Minimum 3 experiences as an expert in “Grant Scheme Management” in EU-funded projects.
  • Experience in climate or environment related actions in Tiirkiye or in EU member countries and/or-candidate countries will be an asset.

All experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
