Job Overview

The Grant Compliance Supervisor leads compliance efforts for major grants and contracts for Salt Lake City’s resettlement programs. Primary areas of responsibility involve advising program teams, carrying out quality assurance activities, managing programmatic reporting deadlines, leading external audit efforts, and supporting general compliance. The Grant Compliance Supervisor will work closely with colleagues to ensure staff are well equipped to provide compliant services. This position reports to the Resettlement Director.

Major Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

- Provide analysis, evaluation, and oversight to support compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies. - Responsible for developing and modifying policies, procedures, and systems in accordance with government regulations and organizational needs and objectives. - Review grant and contract agreements prior to execution to certify programmatic data collection methods will ensure compliance with contractual requirements. - Develop and train program staff in the implementation of tracking tools, ensuring that outputs/outcomes are reliably and accurately measured and reported in compliance with grant requirements & outcomes. - Support program monitoring/audit preparation efforts. - Responsible for tracking and coordinating the satisfaction of compliance deadlines, requirements, and regulation implementation. - Update all quality assurance efforts in accordance with IRC HQ and external donor compliance updates. - Supervise the resettlement grants compliance team to ensure high quality data collection, the development of processes to improve the accuracy and timely completion of grant requirements. - Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education

· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in international affairs/policy management, non-profit management or related.

Work Experience

· 2-3 years of related experience required

· Demonstrated record of success in supporting program and policy compliance and assisting with program monitoring preparation preferred.

Demonstrated Skills/Competencies

· Excellent computer skills are required - especially MS office suite, email/internet software

· Experience with IRIS, ETO, and UWORKS is strongly preferred

· Experience with the Reception & Placement and Refugee Coordinated Case Management grants is strongly preferred.

· Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving and follow-through ability, and proven success in managing multiple and diverse priorities/projects under pressure

· Skills in people management and able to support staff in confronting challenges and producing high quality work

· Excellent communication skills

· Proven ability to work as a team member in a cross-cultural environment

· Ability to maintain confidentiality as it relates to sensitive client data.

- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively - Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to work independently. - Good research, data management, and statistical analysis skills. - Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Working Environment

· A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.

· May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
