Duties and Responsibilities

I. Background The One Planet Network (OPN) is a multi-stakeholder platform that mobilizes a global movement for action on the environment. It brings together governments, businesses, NGOs and civil society to collaborate on solutions to address environmental challenges. The Ten-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP) is a framework that provides a global framework to accelerate the shift towards sustainable consumption and production (SCP). The Office of the Head of the 10YFP / One Planet Network provides leadership and strategic direction for both initiatives. II. Objectives of the Internship The overall objective of the internship is to provide support to the Office of the Head of the 10YFP / One Planet Network in the areas of communications, events organisation, governance, and research. The intern will gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced international environment on critical issues related to sustainable consumption and production. III. Specific Tasks • Governance and Board Coordination: o Assist in preparing for and providing logistical support during 10YFP Board meetings. o Support the drafting of correspondence and meeting documents related to the 10YFP Board, including agendas, minutes, and decision papers. o Track and monitor the implementation of decisions made by the 10YFP Board. o Conduct research on relevant governance issues related to the 10YFP Board. o Support the communication with member states and other stakeholders on 10YFP Board-related matters. o Contribute to the development and implementation of the 10YFP Board's work plan. Communications and Research: o Assist with the development of internal communication materials related to the 10YFP Board's activities. o Conduct research on relevant topics related to SCP and the work of the 10YFP Board. o Monitor and analyze media coverage of the 10YFP o Contribute to the production of 10YFP/One Planet Network Newsletters
