Leads or co-leads internal and external efforts to develop, refine, and implement outreach strategies and activities on global resilience and food security matters. ● Understands, analyzes and coordinates with partner agencies on their outreach priorities, strategies, and products. ● Identifies opportunities, creates and facilitates stand alone or side events on issues of importance to USAID and RFS-supported strategies, initiatives and portfolios. ● Provides guidance and external leadership on outreach efforts supporting the global resilience and food security agenda. ● Shapes and contributes to communication / outreach products and events. ● Provides guidance and support to missions on implementing outreach activities supporting resilience and food security activities. ● Engages directly and indirectly with USAID Missions to support outreach strategy development and implementation with other development partners, and to strengthen the link between country or regional level programs with global level strategy and policy setting. ● Prepares US government leadership to represent resilience and food security interests externally. ● Represents US government and USAID on global resilience and food security stage through proactive engagement with multilateral and bilateral institutions and partners at G7 and G20 resilience and food security convenings and Committee on World Food Security, and by helping to coordinate overall USAID participation at high level events. ● Communicates with US government senior leaders and offices, including communication with NSC, OMB, USG interagency, and USUN Rome mission. ● Performs other duties as assigned.
