Purpose for the job

Under the supervision of the NOB Fundraising Officer (Individual), and in close coordination with the NOA Fundraising Officer (Acquisition) and the NOA Retention Officer (Loyalty and Database), as well as with the PFP team, will assist with the development of the Digital Fundraising strategy and will be in charge to implement the same, covering the full spectrum of digital marketing – from lead generation to optimizing direct online conversion.

Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks

Increase UNICEF Peru income through donor acquisition and donor retention:

  • Develop the digital fundraising strategy and annual workplan by analysing the market potential and UNICEF best in class fundraising activities.
    • Search and analyze digital fundraising trends, opportunities and challenges, in addition to best in class digital fundraising within the UNICEF network.
    • Create the digital fundraising strategy 2021-2026 in line with the Fundraising Strategic Plan.
    • Develop annual workplans which will ensure the strategy is realized.
    • Work and manage the digital consultant and digital agencies to deliver KPI's related to the digital strategy and annual workplan
    • Contribute to strategic planning discussions by putting forward ideas to improve our communications based on up-to-date knowledge of digital communication and e-marketing trends
  • Implement digital FR initiatives, including acquisition (pledge, leads, one-offs) and donor retention campaigns to deliver fundraising KPI's across all digital channels
  • Manage all digital channels (i.e. SEM/SEO, Social Networks, Website, E-Mail, Display, Re-Marketing and Peer To Peer) to deliver fundraising KPI's

    • Ensure there is appropriate content for the digital platforms
    • Maintain a bank of content 's video and audio for the use of PFP area.
    • Develop and optimize website, emails, prepare imagery and manage CRM systems,
    • Manage the digital agency to ensure successful execution of the digital work plan and strategy.
    • Develop and implement digital acquisition campaigns to realize fundraising KPI's.
    • Develop and implement donor retention campaigns for financial
    • Develop and convert non-financial donors to financial where possible.
  • Provide up-to-date analysis of digital FR best practices, opportunities and trends and innovation,

    • Use the UNICEF network to apply best in class digital learning in PCO where applicable.
    • Provide specialist advice and technical support to colleagues on matters relating to web and e-communication and communication technology.
    • Participate in global and regional digital trainings, input best in class learnings and look to implement successful activities from the network.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms and criteria to coordinate and synergize the different FR digital efforts (suppliers, agencies, digital media)
    • Ensure the specific aspects of the digital platforms and e-communication including maintenance, secure data transfer, analytics and tracking, undertaking short- and long-term projects
    • Ensure the collating of information - Google Analytics, or similar - to produce reports and analyse trends.
    • Provide information relating to the website, email and text communication, and social media activity for reports and meetings as required.
    • Develop and maintain Dashboards to oversee web traffic and source analytics monitoring and reporting against key performance indicators.

IMPACT OF RESULTS

Increase UNICEF Peru income through donor acquisition and retention campaigns:

  • Prepare the Digital Fundraising strategy and annual workplans analysing different PFP digital requirements and provide relevant information on digital FR mechanisms, opportunities and trends.
  • Implement the different Digital FR initiatives and acquisition campaigns (pledge, leads, one-offs), providing accurate support and guidance on the use of digital channels (i.e. SEM/SEO, Social Networks, Website, E-Mail, Display, Re-Marketing and Peer To Peer).
  • Up-to-date analysis of digital FR innovation, best practices, opportunities and trends.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms and criteria to coordinate and synergize the different FR digital efforts (suppliers, agencies, digital media)

RECRUITMENT QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

University Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communication Sciences, or relevant field with additional training in a relevant field.

Academic background on discrimination on grounds of race, ethnicity, indigenous populations, caste, sexual orientation or disability is considered as an asset.

Experience:

One year of progressively responsible work experience in marketing, promotional or fundraising areas. Digital media is essential.

Proven proficiency in the use of search engine algorithms, SEO and promotion, content management systems, e-mail broadcasting tools, HTML coding and analytics packages.

Experience in any of following marketing areas: social media, web development, relationship marketing/e-CRM, search marketing, integrated media planning, and marketing communications.

Knowledge of marketing campaign management processes

Previous work experience with UN System and/or experience in human and children rights is an asset.

Experience working with minority groups, migrants, refugees, or with indigenous communities is an asset.

Experience working on issues related to anti-racism and discrimination on grounds of race, ethnicity, indigenous populations, sexual orientation or disability is an asset.

Language:

Fluency in English and Spanish are required.
