UNICEF works with the private sector to create positive impact for children. The corporate fundraising team in Brazil focuses its efforts on impactful partnership opportunities with maximum flexibility, areas where UNICEF has a competitive advantage through our high value, multi-year, global offering. The corporate team in Brazil is made up of a Key Accounts Management and a New Business Development team.

This position is based in the New Business Development team and will be responsible for identifying and securing new corporate partnerships for UNICEF from the Brazilian private sector, in line with the PFP Brazil high value strategy.

UNICEF Brazil seeks to create strategic and sustainable alliances with the private sector, based on ethical and collaborative relationships that generates shared-value and contribute to guarantee children`s rights. Capitalizing on the extensive networks of corporate alliances and partnerships established in recent years, Brazil Country Office will continue to influence companies to fully integrate children’s rights as part of their environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments and responsible business conduct, mobilizing both financial and non-financial business resources.

Under the supervision of the Corporate Fundraising Specialist, this position is accountable for achieving the stated key results by providing professional expertise and support in fundraising, with a strong focus on developing new partnerships and securing high-value, long-term contributions from private sector companies to ensure sustainable revenue growth for UNICEF’s national and global goals.

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

  • Minimum requirements:
  • Education: A completed first level university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Marketing, International Relations, Communication, Business Administration, or related fields is required.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in Private Sector Fundraising, Corporate Alliances, Commercial Skills, Project writing and/or Marketing/Customer engagement is required. Demonstrated successful track record in negotiating partnership agreements is required. Familiarity of corporate landscape in Brazil is required.
  • Skills: Strong ability to negotiate fundraising-related contracts, proposal is required. Proficiency in negotiating partnership agreements is required. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to condense information and communicate it in a well-structured and compelling way are required. Strong networking skills with a track record of building mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders are required.
  • Language Requirements: Proficiency in English and Portuguese is required.
  • Desirables:
  • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian) is desirable. Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Additional years of relevant work experience in the above-mentioned fields is an asset.
  • Experience in international organization is an asset.
  • Specialized skills in Social Projects, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) are an asset.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
