The incumbent will be responsible for design, establishing and implementing a coordinated pledge acquisition plan, developing strategies and work plans for the fulfillment of the annual established objectives.

The Fund-Raising Officer NOA under the general supervision and leadership of the Individual Donors Officer NOB, will oversee implementing the acquisition Individual marketing plan to acquired new donors. This position will oversee the coordination and execution of donor acquisition strategy through face to face, DRTV, telemarketing campaigns and additionally will develop new businesses with opportunities that it could identifies within the same implementation. This position must work jointly with the Retention Officer to ensure compliance with the management indicators of all campaigns.

How can you make a difference?

Key Functions:

1. Develop the annual acquisition workplan, monitor it implementation and budget execution.

2. Effective supervision of the implementation of the prospecting campaigns, specially telemarketing, F2F, DRTV and CPTP (corporate pathway to pledge). Monitoring and reporting the main acquisition KPIs, such as # of new pledge donors, average donation, long-term value, diversification, among others.

3. Lead the implementing profitable private sector fund-raising strategies to acquire new donors, appropriate to the cultural context, according to approved workplan, aimed at meeting or exceeding net income targets both for individual fundraising Key Accountabilities and Duties: Within the delegated authority and under the given organizational set-up, the incumbent may be assigned the primarily, shared, or contributory accountabilities for all or part of the following areas of major duties and key end-results.

Developing annual work plans for the introduction and implementation of a profitable acquisition pledge programme within UNICEF Rules & Regulations • Designing and Implementing the appropriate market research • Budget for expenses and project revenues • Designs and executes innovative fundraising acquisition strategies and tactics

Participate in implementing profitable acquisition strategies and appropriate to the cultural context, according to approved workplan, aimed at meeting or exceeding net income targets • Designs tests and supervises the implementation acquisitions campaigns thought existing channel and testing new ones– with emphasis on pledge giving. • Supervise events, providers and partners • Select and works with suitable direct marketing, advertising, telemarketing, face-to-face, media agencies and lists brokers and other service companies related to acquisition campaigns implementation. • In close cooperation with the head of communication, Digital officer and individual donor officer, analyses and explores possibilities for the implementation of mass appeal and special events, as well as public service announcements for private sector fund-raising purposes (including press and broadcast advertising).

Upon approval of workplan, provide proper control of its implementation and adherence to its budget, the latter in coordination with local Operations Section. • Monitors and regularly reports on progress against target • Recommends actions when required • Ensure timely reporting

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • University Degree in Marketing, communication or Business Administration or related field studies; preferably supplemented by management, advertising, sales or related areas training or university courses in these areas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressively relevant work experience in fundraising with special expertise in acquisition strategies for telemarketing, lead conversion and face to face. Knowledge of DRTV would be a plus.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • For this position, Chilean nationality is required. National Professional Officers are nationals of the country in which they are serving, and their functions must have a national context, i.e. functions that require national experience or knowledge of the national language, culture, institutions, and systems.
