You have:

• Master's university degree in computer science or equivalent degree is required.
• First-level university degree with minimum of two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role is required.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of a second official UN language is an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Angular Framework is mandatory.
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) is desirable.
• Knowledge of NodeJS is desirable.
• Knowledge of Docker is desirable.
• Knowledge of React Frameworks is desirable.
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (C#, Python) is mandatory.
• Familiarity with common stacks is mandatory.
• Familiarity with databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB) and web servers (IIS, Apache) is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are mandatory.
• Great attention to detail is mandatory.
• Organizational skills are mandatory.
• An analytical mind is mandatory.

Result of Service The Full Stack Developer is expected to fulfill the following goals: - Maintaining quality applications - Designing and launching new features - Maintaining code Integrity - Delivering meticulous and well documented code - Implementing security and data protections schemes in all its developed back and front-end applications

Work Location Beirut

Expected duration Expected duration of 6 months with possibility of extension depending on needs and funding availability.

Duties and Responsibilities Under the overall guidance of the Chief, ICTS, and direct supervision by the team leader, applications unit, the contractor will perform the following tasks: - Design client and server-side architecture - Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design - Write effective APIs - Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency - Create security and data protection settings - Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design - Write technical documentation - Work with data scientists and analysts to improve solutions and portals

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: Master's university degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with minimum of two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience: - Minimum of 1 year experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role is required. The following skills are desirable: - Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) - Knowledge of NodeJS - Knowledge of Docker - Knowledge of React Frameworks The following skills are mandatory: - Excellent Knowledge of Angular Framework - Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (C#, Python) - Familiarity with common stacks - Familiarity with databases (namely: MS SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (IIS, Apache) and UI/UX design - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Great attention to detail - Organizational skills - An analytical mind Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official United Nations language is an advantage.
