Job Purpose: The position-holder is responsible for assisting the Food Assistance Information and Reporting officer in ensuring accurate commodity reports are produced in align with the actual commodity transactions in the field and assisting field-based staff in utilizing the Last Mile Mobile Solutions-Item Tracking System (LMMS-ITS. This responsibility encompasses providing technical assistance for commodity staff in recording commodity transactions ad reporting periodic reports. Additionally, the position involves providing technical support related with the food assistance systems and following up data management on the Partner Connect system.

Major Responsibility

  • Assist the Food Assistance Information & Reporting Officer on resolving technical issues related with information management systems.
  • Ensure that all commodity losses and claims procedures comply with the World Vision partnership and donor requirements
  • Work with the project Officer to consolidate monthly commodity reports into the LMMS-ITS and Partner Connect system in order to properly capture the commodity transactions on monthly basis.
  • Monitor warehouse and distribution document regularly and check the reconciliation of LMMS-ITS and Partner Connect reports with the physical documents.
  • Facilitate the implementation of training on forms and systems for field-staff to ensure adherence to WV’s standards in food delivery management and reporting to have adequate Information Management systems coverage.

  • Maintain inventory control on a monthly basis and ensure that the commodity book/system balances match with the actual stocks.

  • Assist the Food assistance Information and Reporting Officer to ensure the required periodic food assistance reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time to the Information and Reporting, and MEAL team.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:

  • BA/BSc Degree in IT Management, Accounting, Computer Science, Development Studies, and related fields,

    Required Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food aid, food aid information management and reporting positions preferably in NGO setting.

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Experience in food assistance programing and good knowledge of systems and database.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge and working understanding on Emergency Food resource management;
  • Demonstrated capacity to lead the team with similar scope

  • Ability to work in high tension and high security risk situations
