MDF is concerned about the development of the community. Food is a very important commodity for the residents, and through this project we hope to clarify the factors affecting the food crisis for the reference of the local administration. This project aims to explore the various elements that impact the success and reception of these initiatives. This research is particularly timely and vital, considering the increasing challenges posed by global food insecurity and the essential role food aid plays in mitigating these issues. The objective is to develop a comprehensive research proposal that delves into the multifaceted aspects of food aid programmes, including policy frameworks, implementation strategies, and feedback from the communities served. This assignment aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2): Zero Hunger. This proposal will contribute to a deeper understanding of how food aid can be optimised to better serve those in need.

To that end, we are seeking the support from Online Volunteers who has expertise in research especially in food security and aid.

We are seeking three online volunteers, each with a specific focus area and set of responsibilities:

  1. Policy and Programme Analysis:

Conduct a thorough analysis of existing food aid policies and programmes, identifying key factors that influence their design and implementation. This volunteer will also assess the alignment of these programmes with international guidelines and standards.

  1. Field Data and Case Study:

Gather and analyse field data and case studies on the effectiveness and societal impact of food aid programmes online. This includes identifying success stories, challenges faced, and feedback from beneficiaries.

  1. Research Proposal Writing:

Synthesise the research and analyses conducted by the team into a cohesive and comprehensive research proposal. This volunteer will ensure that the proposal is well-structured, clearly written, and presents a compelling argument for further research into food aid programmes.

  1. Strong understanding of global food security issues and food aid programmes.
  2. Demonstrated research skills, including both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  4. Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English.
  5. Excellent time management skills and the ability to adhere to project deadlines.
  6. Familiarity with academic writing and proposal development.
  7. A commitment to ethical research practices, especially when dealing with vulnerable populations.
