We are looking for a qualified and passionate candidate for the post of Partnerships and New Business Officer, based in Ha Noi but will work very closely with the Partnerships Team in Ho Chi Minh City.

How can you make a difference?

You will work closely with business associations, professional organizations, and private sector businesses, to mobilise champions for children’s rights in Viet Nam. The purpose of your job is:

- to develop new corporate partnerships from global and national businesses for UNICEF Viet Nam.

- to create plans to achieve the best possible impact for the children of Viet Nam in multi-year agreements with child rights aligned agencies

- to coordinate within UNICEF to ensure partnerships focus on the agreed programme of work.

- to achieve targets set in the Plan for corporate partnerships.

Key functions/accountabilities:

- Under the guidance of the Strategic Partnerships and Marketing Specialist, assess the potential market and identify opportunities for new partnerships.

- Research and submit relevant opportunities for partnering in UNISON, develop feasible and beneficial partnership proposals.

- Coordinate the development of prospective partners through to final approval; manage the implementation of agreed partnerships, in liaison with Communication and relevant Programme section(s); cultivate existing corporate partners; and expand these partnerships wherever possible through comprehensive account management efforts.

- Carry out administrative and operational tasks for all activities, including obtaining due diligence clearances and approvals from UNICEF’s HQ, in coordination with the relevant Regional Support Centre.

- Assist in managing proper control of the allocated budget so that expenditures/income are in line with agreed work-plan and budget. Prepare in a timely manner all required activity reports, investment funding applications and other documents as needed by the relevant parties at headquarters and regional levels.

- In collaboration with other UNICEF staff, develop integrated campaign materials which support corporate partnerships and raise public awareness of UNICEF’s work in Viet Nam.

- Participate in meetings and workshops and other appropriate fora with various private/public sector organizations such as events to network and facilitate the implementation of strategies and tactics for expanded partnerships.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

- A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Business Accounting, or another relevant technical field.

- A minimum of one year of relevant partnership development, new business, and account management experience is required.

- Knowledge of analytics, database use and due diligence will be an added advantage.

- Fluence in English is required.

- Knowledge of additional UN language is an added asset.
