Financial design and project documentation for two Nature Asset projects

The UNCDF Nature Asset Team is currently engaging several funds for innovative design and implementation. This includes proposals for conservation of high value ecosystems and UNESCO world heritage sites by designing a series of financial instruments for the purpose of transformation of these threatened high value ecosystems with nature positive models.

This assignment seeks an online volunteer who has expertise in financial design with a background in the field of sustainable financing, blended finance or impact investing, and a good understanding of global biodiversity conservation efforts and innovative financing for nature. The selected volunteer would be expected to perform:

A desk research report for financial landscapes; A proposal with financial designs.

Experience with compiling and contributing to project documentation is preferred. The project documents will be crucial to implementing these ambitious projects. Based on the level of contribution and outcomes, the volunteer would be acknowledged for their contribution to the projects.

The ideal candidates should have demonstrated financial experience and have a Ph.D. or Master’s degree or equivalent (e.g. bachelor's degree with 3+ years) in an area related to impact investing, blended finance, forestry, climate change, biodiversity conservation, or related fields. Must have good communication and be very attentive, responsive, and proactive, as our projects are very fast-paced.
