As a Financial Analyst/Controller, you will support the Forum’s Finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the management decision-making process and support the Controlling team in monthly financial tasks such as closing, reconciliations, and analysing revenue and costs in comparison to budget and forecasts
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with operations teams to gather pertinent data for various activities, including events, IT projects, and office operations
  • Create and maintain financial models to develop revenue and costs forecasts facilitating accurate projections
  • Partner with operations and business heads to build budget and prepare forecasts, as needed
  • Prepare and share regular ad-hoc reports to measure deviations from budget and forecasts
  • Proactively seek ways to gain efficiency in analysis and to enhance communication of financial results
  • Design and propose various financial KPIs to encourage the adoption of best practices in financial controls
  • Provide insightful analysis of trends, variances and key metrics for senior management
  • Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements and cross-functional business projects

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree in finance.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and budgeting
  • Good knowledge of business analytics to allow strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting
  • Strong MS Excel skills and good knowledge of data-warehouse technologies
  • Solid accounting knowledge of reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition etc..• Solid accounting knowledge and high standards of accuracy
  • Highly organized, ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and French is a must.
  • Knowledge of Financial Planning tool such as Adaptive Planning is a plus
  • Enthusiastic and eager to drive initiatives to deliver results
