The purpose of the Finance Coordinator is to be responsible that the financial set up is according to NRC standard and to support programme/ project implementation MD Mission. Ensure that the accounting, monitoring, and reporting are according to procedures. Reviewing payment documents and ensure accuracy and compliance with donor requirements.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience as a Finance Coordinator in an INGO or humanitarian agency • University degree in accounting, finance or equivalent is preferred • Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile • Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems. • Fluency in English, both written and verbal • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

1. Review and ensure accuracy of an implementing partner financial report and respective supporting documents 2. Review payment documents and ensure accuracy and compliance with donor requirements 3. Oversee with Banks, their reconciliations, etc. 4. Ensure that the accounting, monitoring, and reporting are according to procedures 5. Review and ensure accuracy of all the financial data entered into Agresso 6. Ensure data archiving as per NRC standards and policies. 7. Manage, train and guide Finance Officer(s)/Assistant(s) 8. Support Finance Manager in following up with the budget holders on spending plans and monthly cash forecast 9. Support project staff in financial matters especially timely payments 10. Support in area level month/project and year closures as per NRC set procedures 11. Assist with Internal and External Audits at area level as needed 12. Ensure optimal allocation of expenses in line with approved budgets and projected expenditures (master budget, allocation tables, etc.). 13. Implement any other Finance related task as requested by the Support Manager or Finance Manager
