Org. The Finance Associate – Treasury Operations reports to the Associate Finance Officer, Treasury in HQG.

Responsibilities Prepares payments for international and local vendors, staff and Field funding in Online banking system based on the information received from the Accounts Payable Section; prepares vendor and staff templates in banking system based on approved banking records.

Reviews the online banking statement on daily basis and identifies contribution receipts, reports to External Relations and Communications Department (ERCD), Accounts and Budget Divisions; consolidates fund information, portal information and REACH references and reports on periodical basis; n a monthly basis, prints the bank statements, verifies each line of receipts with contribution sheet to ensure all receipts are recorded.

Records contributions from donors, prepares and matches the receipts in SAP based on confirmation from ERCD and Accounts Receivable team, and provides reporting updates to various stakeholders.

Prepares the daily cash position report collecting information from various online banking systems and reports on daily basis to finance management including reporting on payroll information, field funding information, forecasted gains or loss for the balances.

Assists in recording bank charges, adjustments, and treasury vouchers in the financial system; extracts monthly bank statements from all the banks and distributes to Accounting Division for bank reconciliation; downloads bank statements and sends it to Accounts Division on monthly basis for all HQ banks accounts involving all currencies.

Responds to queries on field funding, payments, receipts, local and international payroll, receipts, and checks.

Assists in preparation of field funding requirements, USD position, coordinates with fields for confirmation of funding, bank visits, and response to local banks.

Education A university degree from an accredited educational institution in accountancy, finance, business administration or related discipline.

Job - Specific Qualification A Possession of a valid driving license is desirable.

Work Experience A minimum of two years’ experience in finance department of a governmental, international or large commercial organization with an emphasis on cash management and disbursements, online banking, and experience in currency conversion and multicurrency disbursements and receipts is required

A university degree from an accredited educational institution in accountancy, finance, business administration or related discipline is required.

Special Notice Type of Contract: Fixed Term Appointment

Duration of Contract: 3 years including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need.
