Role Summary

We are looking for a new Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team willing to support a global organisation in delivering impactful work.

You will be working with a team of finance business partners, who provide critical financial insights and support to drive business performance. You will be part of a team playing a key role in strategic planning, business advisory, financial reporting, collaboration, and process improvement.

You will be involved at every stage of the annual FP&A cycle and help us analyse trends, monitor KPIs, and provide ad-hoc business performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis on our financial systems to support business decisions

• Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Assist in the preparation of month-end presentations to senior management

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Support the budgeting process by gathering data, preparing budget templates, and consolidating departmental budgets

• Monitor budget performance and provide insights on variances

• Assist in the development of financial forecasts, and financial models

Stakeholder engagement:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial workflows

• Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and provide insights

• Help define recommendations and support the design of reports to senior management

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including external partners and auditors

• Support non-financial managers in their budget management and monthly variance analysis process

Commercial planning & analysis:

• Conduct cost analysis to support cost control exercises

• Support project managers in their budget management and reporting

Person Specification

• Qualified or part-qualified accounting or finance certification

• Experience of a financial analysis-related role (2+ years negotiable)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Desirable:

• Experience with Workday and Adaptive is a plus

• Financial modelling experience is desirable
