Job Purpose:

The Faith & Development (F&D) Intern shall support the Regional F&D Lead with roles in program management and business support processes to achieve World Vision International F&D objectives. The Intern shall be working in close partnership with the F&D focal points from the field or country offices to plan and execute F&D activities at all the levels.

Key Objectives:

1.Contribute to the various teams or F&D related project activities under the direction of the Regional F&D Advisor.

2.Support the department with the desk reviews, landscape analyses and or secondary data analyses on F&D and its complements.

3.Support the F&D lead in organizing and participating in team meetings and country calls with the Country F&D leads, F&D Teams GC and WARO Teams (assisting with meeting preparation, meeting minutes, post meeting reports and follow ups).

4.Support the documentation of Regional F&D achievements and aid in the development of external engagement materials, fact sheets, newsletters, etc.

5.Contribute to F&D projects related presentations, social media content and blogs, reports and or manuscripts.

6.Assist the Regional F&D Advisor with project related administrative tasks, as needed.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with experience in a field of Social Sciences and/ or Humanities or a related area.
  • Qualifications in Theology, Data Analysis and Management may be an added advantage.
  • Must be comprehensively Bilingual in English and French.
  • Demonstrates interest in international development and interfaith engagements, with significant understanding of denominational diversities, through studies, work experience, and/ or personal endeavors.
  • Working knowledge of data entry, collection and analysis, and summarizing and reporting results, and related information technology.
  • Significant level of conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Very strong relational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to World Vision mission and partnership values and sensitivity to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.
  • Must have knowledge in computer applications like MS Office and data base management.
  • Must have significant understanding of denominational diversities.

  • Strong understanding of transformational development and frameworks.
  • Strong communicator at all levels with interpersonal skills, ability and commitment to listen to others.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment: Office Based
  • Travel: 30%, In-country when called upon
  • On call: 30%
