Purpose of the post

Under the general supervision and guidance of the Partnership Specialist, the Fundraising Associate will be responsible for executing a broad variety of specialized tasks for the respective section, requiring in depth knowledge technical oversight, recommendations, planning and evaluation of individual fundraising strategies with the objective to grow the local’s incomes.

How can you make a difference?

Consolidate and search for new acquisition channels

  • Consolidate the different acquisition channels, ensuring compliance with the established goals with the greatest efficiency and aligning with all the procedures of the organization
  • Search for new collection channels through different techniques (F2F, desk to desk, CPTP, door to door, digital, etc).
  • Lead the relationship with the external acquisition agencies (includes weekly monitoring of the results), as well as the motivation and training of the personnel of those companies.

Ensure the retention and loyalty of donors.

  • Design, implement and improve the retention strategy with individual donors.
  • Monitor monthly the correct implementation of the strategy, as well as the management of the established attrition rate.
  • Propose the constant improvement of actions to ensure donor loyalty.

Manage efficient collection processes

  • Ensure with database UNV, the sending and receiving of the collection files in the established time and quality.
  • Ensure and improve the monthly collection effectiveness rate through the implementation of different actions.
  • Monitor monthly through the establishment of different KPI’s

Support the development and advice of the resource mobilization strategy and alliances

  • Provide technical assistance to the design and implementation of the current and / or future resource mobilization strategy.
  • Support in the development of new ways to raise funds.
  • Support and advice on UNICEF positioning strategies in the Bolivian market.

Promote partnerships with financial sector companies and TV channels in the agenda of B4R

  • Lead alliances with financial companies that have large databases of clients that have the potential to become individual pledge donors.
  • Lead alliances with TV channels for the achievement of UNICEF Goals.
  • Promote the engagement of financial companies with UNICEF programmatic initiatives

Leveraging partnerships - Advancing Children’s rights through business for results (B4R) agenda

  • Develop and guide the implementation of an annual plan with the private sector that supports its involvement in the achievement of the Bolivia Country Office outcomes.
  • Promote de integration of CSR and B4R agenda with key industries and companies that already are UNICEF´s associates.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education is required, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the field of work (Business, Marketing, Public Administration or another relevant field).
  • A minimum of 6 years of work experience in Fundraising is required.
  • Specific experience with individual donors (F2F, digital, desk to desk) and institutional donors as an asset.
  • Experience in a UN System agency or organization working with Children's Rights is considered as an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required. Spanish is essential.
