OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

L'objectif general du Programme Elargi de Vaccination(PEV) est d'eviter la mortalite, la morbidite et l'incapacite liee aux maladiesevitables par la vaccination. Les objectifs specifiques sont entre autresRenforcer les programmes nationaux de vaccination centres sur le District.Accelerer les efforts d'eradication de la poliomyelite, de maitrise de larougeole, d'elimination du tetanos neonatal maternel et de lutte contre lafievre jaune par le renforcement de la vaccination de routine et des activitesde vaccination supplementaire et par la surveillance basee sur le cas.Maintenir le progres vers l'adoption de vaccins nouveaux ou sous utilises.Ameliorer la gestion des vaccins, des consommables et de la logistique. Fourniraux pays un appui pour leur permettre de perenniser les acquis del'augmentation de la couverture vaccinale et de renforcer leurs systemes desante.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Sous la supervision generale du Representant de l'OMS et la supervision directe du Team Lead Surveillance & Routine Immunization,le ou la titulaire du poste s'acquittera des principales taches suivantesDe facon specifique,l'appui de l'Epidemiologiste consistera a Surveillance:1. 2.Co-developper les lignes directrices,les outils et les indicateurs pour une surveillance efficace des maladies aux niveaux national,infranational et communautaire.3.Appuyer la gestion des activites et programmes techniques de surveillance,dans le cadre du programme des epidemies et des urgences sanitaires au niveau national.4.Renforcer les capacites des equipes de surveillance pour une surveillance efficace et soutenue des maladies a potentiel epidemique grace a des formations sur l'investigation de terrain,la detection,la gestion des donnees et la reponse rapide aux epidemies et flambees de sante.5.Mener,en collaboration avec d'autres membres de l'equipe,une analyse en temps reel des donnees de renseignement sur les epidemies,a partir d'un large eventail de sources,y compris des secteurs non sanitaires,pour la prevision et la detection des epidemies.6.Appuyer les activites d'evaluation,de surveillance et de riposte rapides pour les maladies a potentiel epidemique en consultation avec le Team Lead,ainsi que les entites sanitaires locales,regionales et nationales.7.Fournir des conseils techniques pour la gestion d'un systeme d'information unifie afin d'assurer la disponibilite des fichiers nationaux de donnees de base et d'autres informations sur des domaines techniques connexes tels que l'incidence des cas;donnees de surveillance de la gestion des cas;donnees de surveillance en laboratoire;recherche des contacts,etc.;8.Soutenir l'elaboration des rapports de situation de l'OMS et d'autres rapports de surveillance reguliers et ponctuels connexes.9.Entreprendre des visites regulieres de supervision sur le terrain pour evaluer la mise en œuvre des activites de surveillance,identifier les lacunes et recommander des actions correctives sur la base d'indicateurs de performance cles.• PEV de routine:•Planifier avec les responsables des aires de sante du district,les strategies de vaccination;.•L'elaboration des plans d'action annuels du PEV;•La mise en œuvre de la strategie de vaccination centre sur le District (approche Atteindre Chaque District);•L'introduction de nouveaux vaccins et l'elargissement de la cible vaccinale;•L'integration et le lien de la vaccination avec d'autres interventions en faveur de la sante de l'enfant et de la mere;•Le renforcement des capacites du personnel de sante a travers la mise en œuvre d'un plan national de formation et de supervision;•L'evaluation et l'actualisation des besoins de rehabilitation des equipements du PEV;•L'actualisation des outils de gestions de la logistique du PEV et la mise en place la mise en place d'un systeme de suivi de gestion des stocks de vaccins et de consommables;•L'elaboration et la mise en œuvre d'un plan de communication et de mobilisation sociale pour le PEV;•La mise en œuvre des strategies de vaccination de routine et des activites de vaccination supplementaires liees aux initiatives d'eradication et de controle des maladies cibles du PEV;•La preparation des rapports mensuels du PEV,le monitorage et le suivi des indicateurs de performance du PEV;Gestion des donnees•Soutenir les gestionnaires de donnees du PEV,des AVS et de surveillance dans l'analyse des indicateurs cles de la performance;•Partager le rapport hebdomadaire de surveillance des PFA avec les acteurs de terrain;Coordination•Apporter un appui a la coordination departemental des activites de la riposte.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Doctorat d'Etat en Medecine,Diplome en Sante Publique Desirable: Formation complementaire en management du PEV•Diplome universitaire superieur en epidemiologie quantitative ou dans un domaine lie a la sante.•Formation specialisee en maladies transmissibles Formation en gestion en gestion des donnees

Experience

Essential: Au moins 2 ans d'experience pratique en sante publique et developpement de la sante,avec une experience dans le domaine de la prevention et traitement des maladies non-transmissibles,et/ou services de soins de sante primaires ou renforcement de systemes de sante,au niveau national ou de district. Desirable: Experience dans la gestion des donnees.Experience de travail humanitaire anterieure sur le terrain avec l'OMS,d'autres agences des Nations Unies,des partenaires du groupe de sante,des organisations humanitaires reconnues ou avec une organisation non gouvernementale internationale ayant une expertise dans la reponse aux catastrophes et aux epidemies.

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at XOF 25,923,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
