You have:

  • Having bachelor’s degree in computer science, WASH, or any other relevant field of study
  • Having minimum 2 years relevant work experience in managing databases
  • Having experience in data management of WASH projects in communities, schools, and health clinics
  • Experience in using data collection and data management tools i.e., KOBO, Tableau etc.
  • Experience of working with multiple departments at a time
  • Willingness to travel to project implementation areas
  • Having the skills and ability to work within a team
  • Good written and spoken English and can speak/understand/write local languages

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Database Assistant will be performing the following activities:

- Provide support in collection and analysis of WASH assessments data projects. - Follow up with field teams to regularly update the data collection process checklists, progress trackers and submit progress reports. - Ensure day to day data entry for WASH activities into the WASH data collection tools and databases and guarantee the accuracy of information and prevent duplication of data. - Responding to information requests and provide basic data analysis and findings on a weekly and monthly basis to both technical management and central MIS team. - Compile and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry. - Notify the relevant staff if case errors exit in her/his submitted data and work together to sort out the errors. - Prepare and establish proper project progress update reports. - Review, verify data and make corrections where necessary. - Generate regular analytical reports, store completed work in designated locations. - Maintain records of activities and tasks. - Conduct online meetings on bi-weekly basis with field teams for updates, challenges and progress on data management. - Ensure the respect of the principle of confidentially and not to disclose any information acquire by performing her/his duties. - Based on needs , liaise with WASH Cluster , regional WASH clusters and MRRD for provision of WASH data . - Archive the soft data of WASH projects in relevant folders upon completion. - Maintain photo gallery of projects’ photos and success stories - Perform any other related tasks as required or assigned
