The Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility is looking for three Online Volunteers to proofread three documents in Mozambican Portuguese with 60 pages in total. The documents have already been translated from English to Mozambican Portuguese. The documents are about navigating global guidance. The proofreading would need to be completed by 21 September by CET midnight. Online Volunteers will be able to strengthen the knowledge on the accessibility and use of child protection and education in emergencies during the process of proofreading. The work of Online Volunteers is highly valuable and will allow making the documents available in additional languages.

    Child Protection is an Area of Responsibility (AoR) within the Global Protection Cluster. The Global CP AoR aims at ensuring that the efforts of national and international humanitarian actors to protect children are well coordinated, achieving maximum quality and impact. The Global CP AoR is seeking the support of three Online Volunteers to make the documents available in Mozambican Portuguese. The Online Volunteers' work will thus be highly valuable.

    Candidates should be fluent in English and Mozambican Portuguese. A background in translation, child protection or education is an advantage. Previous translation experience of translating from English to Mozambican Portuguese (especially documents related to child protection or education) is an asset. The volunteers need to be able to work under tight deadlines. Applicants may be asked to translate a text as part of the selection process.
