English to Kirundi Translation: Child Protection in Climate Change Disasters in Eastern & Southern Africa

IFRC, UNICEF, AoR for Child Protection, Partnership to End Violence against Children are partnering to share a survey asking about Youth perspective on Child Protection in Climate Change Disasters in Eastern and Southern Africa. We are targeting over 20 different countries and need the survey to be translated from English to the local languages for distribution. The survey is about 6 pages long and totals around 1,500 words. For this specific opportunity, we are looking for a volunteer to translate the survey from English to Kirundi.

Translation and interpretation
In times of crisis caused by sudden onset climate change disaster, children face significant protection concerns. Thus, our aim, as an Area of Responsibility within the Global Protection Cluster, is to lead the coordination of child protection efforts in humanitarian settings in order to ensure children in emergencies are protected from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence.
Volunteers: 2 needed
11-20 hours per week / 3 weeks
The volunteer should be fluent in English and Kirundi. A background in translation, child protection, humanitarian action or human resources is an advantage. Previous translation experience of translating to Kirundi (especially survey documents, child protection or humanitarian action) is an asset. The volunteers need to be able to work under tight deadlines.
