You have:

  • Native English speaker with professional experience in proofreading.
  • Familiarity with technical terms related to public administration and social sciences.
  • Available for 6-10 hours per week for 2 weeks.
  • Ability to submit a short translation test as part of the selection process.

The paper's goal is to define the concepts regarding innovation policy governance and its specific features. The text (around 3500 words), which needs English proofreading, analyzes different approaches about innovation and governance. The selected online volunteer will receive the text as soon as the selection is finished. Any support will be provided via email. To help the selection process, a short text for translation may be sent to the shortlisted candidates in order to help the opportunity's assessment. Online Volunteer will receive a certificate of appreciation for her/his contribution.

    The Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) is a public institution that provides technical support to the federal government with regard to public policies: fiscal, social and economic. Ipea’s mission is to “enhance public policies that are essential to Brazilian development by producing and disseminating knowledge and by advising the state in its strategic decisions.” Its structure is divided into departments dedicated to different studies and policies. In this context, the paper submitted for proofreading is part of an ongoing broad research Project that aims to analyze how political and economic institutions affect the country's development.
