Translate the toolkit from English to French for SDGs action

You have:

  • Fluent in English and a native French speaker.
  • Experience in translation is required.
  • Educational background in linguistics or translation is a plus.
  • Background in sustainable development or communications is a plus.
  • Be a highly-organized, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills.
  • Be available approximately 1-5 hours per week from mid July – October 2021.
  • Have your own computer and stable connection to the internet as this role is remote.

The Global Week to Act for SDGs is a global call to people and organizations everywhere to take action for the SDGs, the roadmap that is needed for a just, equal and sustainable recovery from the crisis. This year’s Global Week to Act for SDGs will take place 17-28 September 2021. During and leading up to the week, our partners and participants from around the world register their SDG actions on our global map and engage with our communications toolkit. To ensure that no one is left behind, the toolkit will be translated into multiple languages. This can include but is not limited to: key messages for the initiative, social media assets and posts, communication guides, descriptive sample action and campaign documents. As a native French speaker, your specific volunteer role is to translate the tookit from English to French. This volunteer role may be performed remotely.

    The UN SDG Action Campaign catalyses advocacy and engagement, bringing together diverse actors and partners. Through compelling, creative SDG outreach and communications strategies, the UN SDG Action Campaign supports and serves UN Member States and the UN system. It links organizations from civil society, local governments, think tanks, the arts and culture, the media and the business world. It mobilizes individuals to champion the SDGs in homes, communities and beyond. With the COVID-19 pandemic and economic and social disruption sweeping the globe, 2021 is a pivotal year for transformational change. This is a once in a generation opportunity to reset and to create a better future. The Global Week to Act for SDGs is a global call to people and organizations everywhere to take action for the Sustainable Development Goals, the roadmap that is needed for a just, equal and sustainable recovery from the crisis.

  • 1-5 hours per week / 12 weeks
