Contract

This is a DRC - National contract. More about DRC - National contracts.

Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations, is currently looking for a new colleague to support the creation of digital learning material. The material is used by our 8000 colleagues across the globe, equipping them with the necessary skills to better assist and protect more people in need.

Who are we?

You will join the People Development & Engagement team, which consists of 7 colleagues, and is part of the global HR Department. We provide staff, managers and HR teams across our operations with policies, processes and tools related to staff development and engagement, ensuring that employees are motivated and have the required skills and knowledge to do their jobs.

About the job

The eLearning Coordinator will be responsible for developing learning material to be used globally across DRC operations. The material will cover highly technical content related to our programming activities, project management and DRC Dynamics (DRC’s IT system for finance, HR, project management and supply chain). You will lead and support the translation of technically advanced skills, into digestible, intuitive and interactive eLearning courses that are easily accessible and understandable to new, as well as current, staff. More specifically, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Consult and coordinate with content creators and technical specialists to understand learning needs and objectives
  • Translate learning objectives into model prototypes that focus on greatest learning impact
  • Project manage the course planning, development, launch and maintenance of online courses
  • Based on the source material from content creators, develop eLearning courses within our in-house Learning Management System (Thinkific)
  • Create relevant graphics, as well as interactive/gamifying elements that maximize the learning impact of the courses
  • Support the roll-out (including communication and coordination of translation) of finalized courses
  • Assist the rest of the team with ad-hoc L&D initiatives, including communication campaigns, maintenance of our Learning Portal, data analysis, onboarding, etc.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to love working with others, jointly producing great learning material to be used by our employees across the globe. You enjoy managing a portfolio of highly different learning projects - and coordinating with multiple stakeholders - at once. You have a strong intuition – as well as a theoretical understanding – of how to maximize learning, instantly knowing how to turn something highly complex into engaging and visually appetizing learning material. You are not afraid of challenging the experts with your great and creative ideas of how to transfer knowledge to employees in a better and smarter way.

All employees should master DRC's core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence and Demonstrating integrity.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

  • At least 1 year experience working with, and knowledge of, key graphic design principles
  • Fluency in English

Desirable
