How can you make a difference?
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Education Specialist (Digital Learning) to join our team. The Specialist will, under the direct guidance of the Chief of Education, and in close coordination with other section output leads, staff in the field offices, as well as the T4D Specialist in the office, translate UNICEF’s ambition in this area into concrete actions with a focus on integrating technology into the education system for flexible learning. His/her main responsibility will be to develop a strategic approach to rolling out digital education/learning, ensuring the capacity building of key stakeholders (including teachers), while at the same time developing high quality education contents related to foundational and life skills to be used for children in and out of school.
Therefore, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology integration within education and experience developing and implementing technology-based educational tools and strategies. This role involves evaluating and implementing new technology solutions for teaching and learning, delivering professional development to staff on technology integration, and managing digital learning resources.
This is a temporary appointment post for 364 days.

- Develop and cost an action plan to roll out technology in education to enhance access, quality and management of the sector with an aim to serve all
- Develop high quality educational contents for foundational and life/21st skills to support both learning in and out of school

Education:
- An advanced university degree (master’s or higher) in Educational Technology, Instructional Design or related field is required. A first level university degree (Bachelor's) in a relevant technical field (as identified above), in conjunction with additional two (2) years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
