Overview

  • A minimum of two years of proven professional experience in social development planning and management in Education/adolescent development related areas is required.
  • Fluency in English, Russian and Kyrgyz are required.
  • Experience working in a developing country is considered an asset.
  • Relevant experience in education, youth, adolescent development related areas in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.

Contract

The Education/Adolescent Development Officer GJP is to be used in a Country Office (CO) where both education and adolescent development programmes are major/key components of the Country Programme (or UNDAF). The Officer reports to the Chief of Section or Specialist who is at Level 4.

How can you make a difference****?

The Education/Adolescent Development Officer based in Bishkek reports to the Chief of Education/Adolescent Development Section for supervision. The Officer works in close cooperation with the Osh based Education/Adolescent Development Officer and Osh Zone Office. The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process to support the integration of Education, including ECE, Inclusive Education and other education areas, and adolescent development and participation in programmes/projects within the Country Programme. The Officer is responsible for preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to support the development and formulation of the education and adolescent development and participation programmes/projects within the Country Programme 2023-2027.
