UNICEF Kazakhstan is looking for an Online Volunteer to support us in proof-reading and editing of English-language documents: press releases (maximum 3 pages), human interest stories (maximum 4 pages) and reports (ad hoc basis). Online Volunteer will be revising, proof reading and editing written materials, with the support of our organization. The frequency of service need is maximum 2 documents per week. The original materials are often produced in Russian and/or Kazakh and subsequently translated into English, which need to be proofread for spelling or grammatical mistakes and improved from the stylistic point of view. While editing Online Volunteer should ensure a document is written in a concise, clear and good understandable way. Communication will be either through emails, WhatsApp, Skype or Zoom.

    The press releases, human interest stories, reports and other documents in this context cover a wide range of thematic areas under UNICEF mandate. They cover Education, Health and Nutrition, Migration, Elimination of Violence Against Children, and UNICEF COVID-19 response. The documents are either regular or ad-hoc reports, press releases, human interest stories, or website articles.

    Candidates should be native English speakers and have previous experience with editing/proofreading. Excellent writing and editing skills in English. Attention to detail.
